The JMN45′ Classic is an aluminium cruising unit designed for and with a shipowner wishing to rediscover the lines, charms and aesthetics of the schooners of yesteryear in a modern construction.
The JMN45′ Classic is an offshore cruiser with a classic look and a sail plan inspired by the beautiful schooners of the past.
The ship’s lines (the deck’s tonture as well as the shapes of its superstructures) remind aesthetics of old sailing ships. The wheelhouse is fully opened to the cockpit and tends to protect the entrance to the boat. The wheelhouse hides an external chart table and a piano to manage most of the manoeuvres of the running rigging.
The boat has a swinging transom that closes off the cockpit in navigation to make the cockpit fully secured.
Inside, the saloon, galley and chart table have a bright roof with 360 degree visibility. At stern, the volume is used for a shower room and plenty of storage and technical space.
At the front of the saloon there are two double cabins and a “corridor cabin”. 6 people can easily sleep onboard (+2 in the saloon if needed).
The construction techniques and technologies are modern. High quality materials and equipment are used to optimise ergonomics and reduce the weight of the vessel. JMN45′ Classic is light sailing vessel designed to sail similarly the old schooners did.
The construction of the boat started in February 2019.
