Junhome is a floating home, designed to meet the needs of occasional and unusual accommodation in the marinas.
The idea of this floating house is to bring an ecological concept based on the recycling of a container, which, after having travelled around the world, will become a floating accommodation at the quay.
JUNHOME is an innovative floating house, built in a 21″ shipping container. Currently under construction, this prototype is an opportunity to give a second life to this metal box that has already travelled the world. Open to the water, it is an unusual and fully equipped dwelling that will be moored in marinas, inland waters and other inlets.
This home on the water is a real invitation to the comfort of an unusual house.
The house has a bedroom on the first floor with a double futon bed and a large bay window in the triangular roof giving a view of the sea or the harbour entrance.
On the ground floor, the floating home has a shower room with a toilet and a large shower, a warm/dining area with a microwave oven and a tilting table, a living room open to the living area on a beautiful platform, a quarter-turn staircase giving access to the bedroom above. The idea is to welcome visitors in a comfortable and unusual setting.
Outside, the container is surrounded by a perimeter walkway that allows you to circulate around the house and to position yourself where the wind and sun are most attractive. A large terrace at each end of the container provides space for outdoor lounges or deckchairs.
JUNHOME is mounted on floats to ensure the stability of the whole structure. The harbour house is clad with standing seam zinc and clear Douglas fir cladding. Ecology and respect for the surrounding environment are the key words of this unusual and recycled floating home.
