All the ropes from the mast step are carefully guided along the superstructure windows in a dedicated, accessible and elegant space.
The great ingenuity of this ergonomics consists in proposing a height of the cockpit floor very similar to that of the boat’s interior. A single step allows the passage from one to the other, which for a unit of this size, is appreciable and disconcerting.
The aft extension of the cap becomes a real protection for the crew sitting on the forward part of the cockpit, and the helmsman’s visibility is guaranteed by a moderate superstructure height.
Inside, the Sword 39′ limits its layout to two cabins (a 3-cabin version is possible), a large saloon, a galley, a chart table and a shower room.
The Sword 39′ is equipped with a 38hp Lombardini sail drive engine and a powerful running backstay rig to optimise sailing performances. At the end of the bowsprit, a Gennaker will be rigged for downwind sailing.
The boat is equipped with watermaker, hydro generator and solar panels.
The design of the first Sword 39′ is underway and construction will start very early in 2022. To be continued…
